Andy & James have been investors in Afternoonify since 2018. As part of the management team we led the rebranding of Percept, the development of new business (such as Vodafone and Bourne Leisure) and additional services such as Facebook auditing. TFI also overhauled the financial, commercial and marketing models. We were also pivotal to the raise of £1.5 million in shareholder investment.

The leading automated mobile security platform
TFI invested in and Andy was appointed Chairman of PubGuard in 2018. The priority was to investigate all possible exit routes and eventually oversee the sales process to BidStack in 2019. Once completed the investment transferred to the parent company where Andy is an advisor, supporting primarily the marketing activity. He remains a mentor and friend of the founder of PubGuard.

Consultancy helping brands take control
TFI have advised the founders since pre launch. Advising on company structure, finance, PR, Marketing and business development as well as operations for both the launch and beyond. TFI supported Canton to pivot, launch new products and win new clients. Today James holds the position as Chairman.

TFi invested in and have been advisors for 59A and its founder, Adam Ray, since 2018 and helped position 59A to the heart of how technology is being used in the marketing world.
James joined 59A as a non-executive director in February 2020 helping Adam and his team with their fundraising, product and team development as well as sales and marketing.
Despite the unique challenges of 2020, 59A has accelerated its growth in both product and winning agencies and brands.

Andy is currently an advisor for TFI are investors in our latest client, Picnic-Media. Andy is currently an advisor to the founder Matt. He has taken on the role of assisting with sales and marketing, operations and other aspects of commercial activity. Having orignally helped set out the company KPIs, he has subsequently delivered introductions to new clients and sat on the board of advisors. Picnic has raised $3million in 2021 and is currenlty launching in new markets.
Networked data and insights agency
Andy was appointed in 2021 to support the management team of Freemavens, following their acquisition by MSQ. During a 6 month contract, effectively acting as MD, the team reviewed all areas of business, hired key staff espeically in the sales and marketing function, reviewed the business technology, the processes and the balance of Human / Automation. Using the power of the network, Freemavens launched into new markets (China), raised awareness both internally and externally and successfully navigated the first months post acquisition.

Andy founded Unique Digital in 2000, focusing on Digital Media & Technology. The business grew organically from 2 people to 50 before being sold to Syzygy AG in 2007. Through high energy and a strong vision, Andy & James quickly won an impressive roster of financial services and gambling clients, including Barclays, Barclaycard, HSBC, William Hill and E-Loan as well as winning impressive pitches for clients such as Avis, Sky & Littlewoods / Very. Unique was one of the first agencies to use Google, Facebook and Amazon and formed Platinum partnerships with Adobe & Microsoft. The use of technology was pivotal to the success and products such as Darwin and Brand Gauge were built internally,whilst unique was an early adopter of “Lifetime Customer Value”.

On the board of Syzygy, Andy & James grew their business both organically and via acquisition (Diffferent, Useeds, and Hi-Res!) in their key markets of UK & Germany, tripling both turnover (to £60 million) and their market cap (to £140 million). The pair built new operating businesses in both Poland (via the acquisition of Ars Thanea) and USA, launching & growing Syzygy US, before the Group, comprising 700 staff & 100s of clients, was sold to WPP in 2015.
